Welcome "2" the manic society

Is a manic society we're living in today, where everything is designed & engineered to cut half the time to be more productive in every aspect of our life. Think of these situations what the world is today that relates you:

Chasing tight deadlines at work.
(You've a laptop with you but your daily tasks are endless)
While you're behind the wheel to your client's office.
(You're driving a 1.8liter car but you're still 10 minutes late due to traffic jam)
Getting a quick bite from the nearest fast-food store.
(You're eating fast than usual even though you're given 1-2hours time)

STOP FOR A MOMENT AND HAVE A DEEP THOUGHT BEFORE CONTINUING WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO DO.

Fast pace society has increasingly producing adverse effect on our quality time spent with our family & friends, time for praying or meditating, time for sports and adventures, & etc

CONSIDERING THESE QUESTIONS....

Do you live a life of purpose?
Are you passionate or contented with the job you chose?
Is there something holding you back from working on new horizons?
When is the last time you promised to bring your family for holidays?
When is the last time you said you wanted to bring her over a good dinner?

I'm in the state of soul-searching spiritually & mentally for new possibilities of growth.

Decision

Everyone of us make decision day-to-day. You decide what to have for your lunch, you decide which job suits you best, you decide which car to buy, you even decide which love companion you want to be with for the rest of your life. What about making huge decision in transforming how your life would be in the future or you once dreamt of in the past but you had gave up?

It doesn't really matter what background you came from. It doesn't really matter what life challenges you're facing now, it's the matter of "are you willing being a risk-taker of making wise decision in improving it?" All of us came to this world with an equal opportunity to succeed in life. The difference between the successful people and ordinary people and the most crucial, is making "decision" in life.

Here are some familiar faces of extraordinary people. What do they have in common?

Yes, they're billionaires.
Yes, they're MEN indeed.
Yes again, they're in the technology business who make our life easier.

The one thing in common, they have BIG VISION. They're willing to go the extra miles (not extra feet). They make a BIG DECISION turn their vision into reality. All of these are possible because they had made BIG DECISION in their life. They had went through a process as what I call TRANSFORMATION PERIOD (you may refer my next post).

A reputable motivation speaker once said,

“It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped” - Anthony Robins

The ever Invincible World Champion: Roger Federer!

The world well-known tennis player, Roger Federer has finally regain back his championship title. The winner for US Open 2008 in Arthur Ashe Stadium, said, “I felt great, I felt like I was invincible for a while again.” It was a tough season for him with the emerging of his opponent Rafeal Nadal. Without hesitation Federer said, “All sorts of crazy people started writing me and trying to reach me, telling me I need some help either mentally or physically.” He then added, “People come out of the closet and think they can start helping me now. It’s just a pain. This sort of puts them to rest a little bit, and calms down the phones at my parents’ house a little bit, which I’m happy about.”

Roger Federer prevailed as the unbeatable world tennis champion despite tough obstacles and health challenges.

Turning every seconds into a Champion.

I'm finally back from a long holiday. It's also another beginning of me in making more fulfilling life to others through the encouragement from ordinary people who gives extraordinary inspirations in attaining life success.

August 2008 is the mark of new dawn of human history in this summer, of course none other than Beijing Olympic 2008. A platform of entire human race in revolutionizing the past records of sporting events with a remarkable new records by just seconds. Michael Phelps, a swimmer from United States has demonstrated as one of the best Olympian of 2008 with such a stunning eight gold medal performance in Beijing water cube. He now holds seven world records in swimming event.

My Humble Entry (Part 2)

My first few attempts of cold-calling with my first corporate employer was indeed very cold. I often get people who hung up my calls and people who give me difficult questions to handle responsively. Rejection from prospects was usual for me in my first few weeks, believing that I will get my very first appointment. Despite so many rejections, soon enough, I finally got someone on the other line, somehow wanted to refinance his mortgage and insisted to see me at his office.

Now, how would you feel if you were me? Do you feel excited? I persist by making more calls and to hit the right person again and again and again. It's not how good you are in making calls, but how many calls you willing to call so you get luckier. And when each time you fall, you gain something. In John C. Maxwell's book called "Failing Forward" says that achievers reject rejections.

(Over the years of my experience in Sales & Marketing, I had developed an effective lead generation tool. I was a college drop-out and started my first career dead-broke to sustain my day-to-day expenses. I was 19 at that time. While my ex school mates and friends busy pursuing their higher degrees, I was attending a course from a university called "A Game Called Life". After all, it's free. People pay me to learn and earn at the same time. (continuing on Part 3. You may read my first chapter)

Fear of Failure?

Today I was reading this book written by John C Maxwell called "Failing Forward" and I would like to share this so you can live life to the fullest. Let me ask you 2 questions if you're willing to make difference to your life and others? Are you willing to get out from your comfort zone? Are you willing to take the "fear-of-failure" out of your dictionary? If your answer is yes to both, I would like to congratulate you for taking the risk to be successful.

Mediocre see obstacles rather than opportunities. They live in their fear cycles whereby it'll lead them to inaction, inexperience & inability. Average people think that success is a huge price to pay and that's why they don't put action to their plan.

Achievers see that failure is only a temporary process that will yield success. They see that making mistakes would gain them more experiences. Therefore, experiences gives them the ability to fail lesser. Does it sounds a hefty price?

*John C. Maxwell is a well known international motivation speaker, speaking for Fortune 500 companies and also an author dozens of best-selling books. My recommendation is to get yourself this book, "Failing Forward".
